In the municipality of Jönköping there are fifteen public libraries and one mobile library.

The Jönköping city library is our main library and is open almost every day. The next biggest one is Huskvarna library. Our library user information gives all opening hours and borrowers´policies.

Internet computers are available for booking free of charge. DVD-film leasing is a popular novelty. Talking books are available for disabled people.

Exciting events often take place at your library, for instance author visits, lectures, discussions, arrangements for children, exhibitions…

Several thousand patrons visit our public libraries in Jönköping every day – in a year actually more than 800 000 visitors. And every year there are about a million library loans.  

The International library in Stockholm can help for free with books in languages or topics that are not represented on our shelves - as well as with special titles for a low reservation charge. Contact our library staff!
